A multi-generational Alabama business was spotlighted as an example of American-made products on ABC World News Tonight.
The Monday newscast, with David Muir, featured a segment on Moulton’s Red Land Cotton, which manufactures more than 70 household products from cotton grown in north Alabama.
The products have been featured in publications such as Southern Living, Garden & Gun and Country Living. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Red Land also pivoted to manufacture masks.
In the two-minute ABC segment, Muir pointed out that Red Land grows about 1.5 million pounds of cotton on 3,000 acres, and employs more than 500 contract employees.
Following the broadcast, a spokesperson for the company said it saw immediate sales and more than 50,000 hits to its website within the first 15 minutes.
