The Rumble in the Rockies has not become the rivalry the Pac-12 was hoping for when Utah and Colorado both joined the conference in 2011. But the Buffaloes did win a big recruiting battle over the Utes on Christmas Day. Tight end Seydou Traore committed to a future in Boulder after two seasons at Arkansas State. Utah was his other recruiting finalist.

Traore is originally from England, which also produced Colorado 2023 linebacker signee Kofi Taylor-Barrocks. Thaore had never competed in 11-man football before arriving in the United States.
Thaore did have one year of preparation at Clearwater Academy International in Florida. He was a 247Sports three-star prospect coming out of high school, with four offers, despite his lack of experience playing the sport.
The 6-foot-4, 223-pound Traore caught 11 passes for 79 yards during his first season of collegiate action with the Red Wolves in 2021. His production saw a dramatic increase during a sophomore campaign in which Traore earned first-team all-Sun Belt honors. He was also named honorable mention All-American after hauling in a team-high 50 receptions for 655 yards and four scores this past season.

Thaore was previously a standout soccer goalie in London.
Thaore is the 12th transfer to join the herd since Coach Prime and his staff took over in Boulder, a Colorado transfer class that ranks among the best in the country.
