As more of us find ourselves working from home, we wondered: What do our WFH outfits look like? How do they make us feel? What are the best work from home clothes? Introducing Kit Fits, a daily celebration of our staying-in clothes. Next up, The Kit‘s Creative Director, Brittany Eccles.
DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE IN A FEW WORDS
Casual, classic, fun, and youthful.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR WFH OUTFIT
The last time I wore a full-on tracksuit was 1986. I love athleisure, but I usually only do it in small doses. But when I saw this Nike set I had to have it! I bought it at the Nordstrom Nike pop-up about three weeks before social distancing began. I think I must’ve had a sixth sense that isolation was coming. Am I ever happy I bought it. My striped socks are from Urban Outfitters and I wear them with everything, even dresses. I was so bored this week I painted my nails to match them! My left hand red and my right hand blue.

HOW DOES YOUR OUTFIT MAKE YOU FEEL?
I feel great in this tracksuit! It makes me feel comfortable and confident. However, I wouldn’t want to wear it every day. I’ve made a point to switch up my WFH outfits. Yesterday I wore a flowy white mini dress and the day before that baggy jeans with a plain white T. Variety and balance are key for me…otherwise I’ll get bored.
HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM WHAT YOU’D WEAR OUT?
I would totally wear this tracksuit out! I may accessorize a little differently though, something to make it a little less sporty, perhaps, more edgy. When it comes to fashion and getting dressed I have no rules, I like to play around. One day I’ll dress feminine, another I’ll wear something very masculine. It really depends how I feel each morning when I wake up. The only rule I do have is that I have to be comfortable in it!
HOW’S THE WFH LIFE? BEST PART? HARDEST PART?
I’m only one week into WFH life and I’m finally starting to get the groove. The best part so far is being able to roll out of bed and do our morning Slack meeting in my pyjamas. The hardest part is not seeing my coworkers IRL. I always try to have fun at work and my co-workers play a big part in that. I miss hearing their laughs and funny comments throughout the day!
