Our weather team says that Saturday looks to be the stormiest day for the weekend. It is a Weather Impact Day for rain, snow and wind. The timing of that rain and snow will be worked out over the next few days and details could change. But it should rain almost all day with Valley totals over 1 inch. Winds will be gusty in the Valley, especially on Saturday morning with likely gusts over 40mph. Snow should fall all day in the Sierra above 5,000 feet so expect travel to be slow. There could be snow totals in the 2-feet range. Sunday will have on-again and off-again rain with light winds and snow levels could drop to the 3,500 to 4,000-foot range. Warming centers in Sacramento, Stockton open
