The U.S. stock market’s valuation has improved considerably since the beginning of the year.

In fact, the S&P 500 Index SPX is now projected to nearly keep up with inflation over the next decade. While such a return is hardly the cause for celebration, it’s a lot better than what it was Jan. 1.
