Stio Summer Collection
Stio makes apparel with technical chops and casual looks. This year’s summer collection is no different. Whether you live in the city or out in the mountains, Stio makes shorts and tops that may match your sunny days.
This summer’s collection features clothes with sun protection, wicking and breathability, stretch, and bold colors.
The brand’s CFS Board Shorts are one of its bestsellers. Made with four-way-stretch fabric designed to repel water, these shorts should move with you and keep you dry when you transition from water to shore. Stio lists these shorts with a UPF 50-plus rating for sun protection and says their DWR finish also resists abrasion.
The men’s shorts come in 16- and 19-inch outseams and have a zippered fly. The women’s have a 4-inch inseam and are shaped with a medium cut.
A long-sleeve for sun protection (UPF 50-plus) on the water, the Hylas Hooded Pullover uses a quick-drying, breathable, and stretchy fabric. It weighs 8 ounces and has thumbholes and a relaxed-fit hood.
Eddy Shirt SS — Men’s: $109
What looks like a classic two-pocket pearl-snap short-sleeve shirt touts more performance than its old-school brethren. This shirt uses a nylon-poly-blend fabric that, according to the brand, stretches, wicks moisture, provides sun protection, and has a DWR treatment.
Coburn Short — Men’s: $89
Whether you’re riding a bike, scrambling rocks, or crouched around a campfire, Stio designed these shorts with four-way stretch and a gusseted crotch to allow for a greater range of motion than typical shorts. The Coburn shorts also have reinforced stitching and a DWR treatment.
In mountain towns, fleece is a way of life. This 100% recycled fabric fleece has a relaxed hood, thumbholes, and a drop hemline for a little extra coverage in the back. The knit face and brushed interior are comfort-minded design touches. The angled front zipper allows you to open it more to get more airflow or just to make it easier to get on and off.
At 3 ounces, these shorts are there for coverage and to help move sweat away from your body. Inside, there’s a mesh liner and a security coin pocket. The elastic waistband is 2 inches wide to hold close securely without too much pressure.
