Over the last 24 hours, there have been hours of uncertainty over North Korea’s war provocations and the response to them. After flying a ballistic missile over the skies of Japan, North Korea was warned by the United States and South Korea over the repercussions this might bring.
Only moments ago, both nations decided to conductballistic missile test with short range Hyumoo-2 missiles but something went terribly wrong. There is video image of what happened. Right after taking off, there is clear evidence that the missile launched on South Korean territory failed in mid-air. Why is this important? Because the missile they used for the test-drills were live and it nearly became a tragedy.
Did the missile have a nuclear warhead?
It is still unknown if the missile that crashed and exploded had a nuclear warhead but it did have live ammo. In the video released by an unknown South Korean citizen, you can clearly spot the giant fire it caused within the country’s territory. In the joint drill conducted by the South Korean and American militaries, the local nation did something terribly wrong and later apologized for the failed test.
Images of the massive fire could be spotted from miles away but nobody has a clear picture of what happened yet. The report of this apology first came from Reuters. No further information has been offered to the media other than there were no civilian casualties during this accident.
This latest response to Pyongyang‘s losgest-range test to date was perceived as a direct provocation and war mongering from North Korea. The White House keeps a close eye on this area and the military remains ready in case tensions escalate any further. If Russia doesn’t go wild and starts a nuclear war, the other country that could definitely trigger it is North Korea.
