I spoke to this season’s costume designer, Mandy Line, who shattered the inspiration behind the final season’s fashion.
“We’re in a fuss! They all have the best self we are in now,” Mandy said.
It took another fashion expert to really recreate the looks in the right way.Blair Walsh, Style Director Rent a runwayIt was like a fashion angel sent from heaven. Based on Mandy’s notes and a few photos, she duplicated each look with access to more than 700 brands on Rent The Runway.
“I know every designer, every style in the field, so it’s easy to see,” she said.
We went on a 4-day rental (8-day rental and subscription packages are also available) and rebuilt Scarlett’s fashion closet in the middle of the apartment. Then it’s time to get on the subway (wearing a flashy ball gown) and, of course, recreate the iconic first scene of “The Bold Type!”!
