A ‘HIGH-VALUE’ burglary from a campfire site in a village in West Oxfordshire is being investigated by police.
Criminals took off with more than 20 bell tents, ten boxes of cast iron cookware, six large cool boxes, hammocks and shelters after breaking into the Campfire Wild Adventures business in Great Tew, a few miles from Chipping Norton.
The offenders cut the lock to the large metal container where the camping equipment was stored.

Other items missing include various tarpaulins, general cookware, a dozen camping chairs, folding tables, first aid kits, kindling, a dozen fire pits and six to 12 air beds.
Many of the items are distinctive with the company logo which will be hard to remove.
In a statement shared by Thames Valley Police, the owner of the business said: “We are a start-up school bushcraft business, so if 2020 was not challenging enough, now we start 2021 with no kit and an insurance claim process ahead of us.”
