And even with that, the reruns of popular old shows from the 90s have taken the spotlight. People are glued to their television sets for the immense nostalgia factor attached to them. Recent show to make it to the list of reruns of old hits is Mahabharat, the mythological epic. While Ramayan recently aired its last episode after a successful re-run, Mahabharat too is widely being watched by fans.
The characters of the show often become viral on the internet with hashtags trending on the characters or the show itself. Although this time, a throwback photo of the famous five Pandavas is doing the rounds on the internet. In the picture, actors playing Pandavas, Gajendra Chauhan (played by Yudhishthir), Praveen Kumar (Bheem), Arjun Feroz Khan (Arjun), Sameer Chitre (Nakul) and Sanjeev Chitre (Sahadev) pose wearing colourful hip T-shirts for a magazine shoot in 1989.
