For those looking to see the latest trends, New York Fashion Week will run from February 9-15. After much speculation, the Council of Fashion Designers of America released its official schedule, which holds plenty of key shows. For NYFW fall/winter 2023, there will again be a mix of in-person presentations, live streams, and digital-only presentations. Since shows were canceled in 2020 due to global lockdowns and social distancing, many designers have adopted live streams and digital presentations as another way to present their designs. While many prefer the in-person experience, there’s no denying that digital presentations give consumers more access to the fashion world. While NYFW is a global event, the American Collections, which showcase the best of American fashion, will be shown from February 10-15.
Even though all the scheduled fashion shows are worthy of a look, there are a few designers you need to keep an extra close eye on. Opening the American Collections, Rodarte is the perfect way to start Fashion Week. During last year’s fall/winter collection, Rodarte showcased their designs with the help of young stars like actresses Camila Mendes and Mandy Moore (via WWD). Carolina Herrera, a staple of American fashion, will showcase on February 13. Also showing on February 13 are Coach, Tory Burch, and LaQuan Smith. On Valentine’s Day, some key shows include Brandon Maxwell, Gabriela Hearst, Thom Browne, and Altuzarra. Closing out NYFW are two of the most iconic shows, Michael Kors and Badgley Mischka.
