Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa, near Holsworthy in Devon, has released details about its luxury lake pods which are now available to book from April 2022
The brand-new lake pods are set on the water’s edge, with a private balcony overlooking the lake and glass frontage to fill the living accommodation with light.
The pods offer a traditional camping-style break but with home comforts thrown in, such as a compact kitchen, bathroom with shower and dining area.
Perfect for keen anglers
Seventeen of the lakes at the Clawford Lakes Resort are well-stocked with a variety of fish. With a latch on the decking of the new pods, guests can enjoy fishing directly from their own terrace.
There’s also an on-site tackle shop open every day and sea fishing can be enjoyed at Bude, just half an hour away.
Nature all around
Clawford Lakes is 22 miles north of Dartmoor National Park, and just a 30-minute drive from Cornwall’s north coast, making it a perfect base for visitors who want to spend time in Devon as well as exploring Bude, Padstow and St Ives.
Other facilities
As well as providing high-quality accommodation and fishing breaks, from July 2022, Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa will also feature a Finnish-built swimming pool and spa facility.
The Scandinavian design will blend with the countryside location, and is intended to create a calm and sophisticated leisure centre, complete with sauna, treatment rooms and infinity pool right on the lakeside.
Guests will be able to take advantage of Clawford Lakes’ waterside location, with paddleboarding, kayaking, cycling, leisure walks and bushcraft activities all available from spring 2022. The site will also include a quality restaurant and bar.
