Manchester United will have to wait until January to continue their rebuild under Erik ten Hag after welcoming in several players during the summer transfer window. Having been sworn in from Ajax, Ten Hag signed Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Antony and Martin Dubravka.
Dubravka joined on loan from Newcastle to offset Dean Henderson signing for Nottingham Forest in a similar deal. But how many transfers will United sanction this winter?
Several high-profile names continue to do the rounds, including Cody Gakpo and Antoine Griezmann, with some targets genuine and many others not so. United might also revive their pursuit for Barcelona player Frenkie de Jong after he opted to stay at the Nou Camp this summer, with Sunday’s 3-0 derby defeat to Man City exposing more of the club’s current issues.
United face Omonia and Everton this week, as a busy October of fixtures gets going.
