Manchester United and their Premier League rivals will have to wait until January to strike up more business after manager Erik ten Hag brought in six players during his first window at the helm.
Despite missing out on priority target Frenkie de Jong, the Old Trafford giants sanctioned moves for Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Antony and Martin Dubravka. The latter was brought in from Newcastle on loan to offset Dean Henderson joining Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest.
Several players – some genuine and many otherwise – continue to be linked to United with names such as De Jong, Antoine Griezmann, Cody Gakpo and Goncalo Ramos from Benfica thought to be on the agenda. But will Ten Hag make any mid-season additions?
