The eyes of the world may be on Qatar as the World Cup continues but there’s still plenty going on at Manchester United to keep us entertained.
Following the Glazers’ announcement that they are open to selling United, a whole host of billionaires have registered their interest in purchasing the club.
MEN Sport has already revealed both Lord Jim O’Neill and Zara founder Amancio Ortega are considering a move, with the end of the Glazer family’s 17-year reign at Old Trafford ostensibly edging ever closer.
With just over a month to go until the January transfer window opens, transfer talk is also beginning to dominate the Old Trafford agenda. Cody Gakpo was considered by the club in the summer before Erik ten Hag secured a deal for Brazilian winger Antony, though a move for Gakpo may still be on.
The Netherlands international has been one of the stars at the World Cup so far, notching twice in Louis van Gaal’s side’s two outings, and it’s being reported that the 23-year-old could finally secure a move to M16 in the mid-season window.
