UK camping manufacturer Kampa is relaunching in 2021 with a revamped range of tents targeting first-time campers.
The brand’s range of inflatable and poled tents has been given a complete makeover, aimed at the growing number of camping newcomers post-pandemic.
A total of 19 Kampa tents will be available in 2021 with prices reduced and specs streamlined throughout the range.
The brand’s range of tents was rebranded as Kampa Dometic in 2020 following the takeover by Swedish outdoor giant Dometic two years earlier. But in 2021 it will revert to simply Kampa – with a new premium Dometic collection launched separately.

Kampa says the materials and workmanship remain high quality across the range but the lower prices reflect the level of specifications on the tents. Tweaks, such as using fibreglass poles instead of steel, toggled curtains rather than zipped and shorter poles at the rear of bedrooms are all designed to keep costs down.
The 2021 Kampa air tent range features two technical cotton models and five polyester. The top-of-the-tree Croyde 6 Air TC is a six-berth polycotton tent with an RRP of £1,500 with the polyester version coming in at £1,093. The Hayling 4 Air is also available in polycotton or polyester and there is a six-berth polyester model, too.
The smaller Brean Air comes in three and four-berth versions.
On the traditional poled tent front, there are six models, ranging from the £287 Brean 3 to the Croyde 6, which has a recommended price of £750. The Watergate 8 vis a vis is the biggest tent in the range and is the only one to have an optional canopy available.
The Adventure tent range includes six models, ranging from the Brighton 2 (£71) to the Mersea 4 (£212).
Essex-based Kampa was founded in 2006 and rose to become one of the biggest and fastest growing outdoor leisure brands in Britain. Its focus is on the tent and awning market as well as outdoor living products and accessories. The company was taken over in December 2018 by Dometic, who make fridges for the caravan market as well as cool boxes.
