JANN WILLIAMS
January 16, 1937 – December 20, 2020
Jann was born January 16th, 1937 in Borger, Texas to Emmett and Cora Fleming. She was the eldest of five children, Jann, Jean, Betty, Mike and Vicki. The family moved around a bit before settling down in Taft, CA.
Jann went to school there and in 1955 at the age of 18 married Calvin Moore. They moved to Mckittrick and started a family of their own. Leslie was born in 1956 and Gregg in 1961.
In 1965 the family moved to the Seattle area in Washington State. There, Jann got her degree in accounting and started her career in the same field. She would eventually rise through the ranks to become head of accounting at several companies.
Jann divorced in 1973 and would remarry several years later. In 1979 she’d had enough rain and came back to California to settle in Orange County.
In the late 90’s she and husband Jim moved a few times for his career until their retirement to Arizona. After 3 years Jann and Jim moved to Bakersfield to be closer to family. Where they stayed until 2017 when they moved to Tacoma Washington.
Jim passed away on December 31st, 2017. Jann was diagnosed with lung cancer in September of 2020. She contracted coronavirus and passed away on December 20th, 2020.
In life Jann always had an interest in cars, fashion, and travel. She also had a great love for her Maltese dogs, Myron, Babydoll, and Taz. Her career and independence meant a great deal to her and she worked hard to instill that in her children and grandchildren.
Jann was preceded in death by her daughter Leslie. She is survived by son Gregg, granddaughters Jennifer, Allison and Arista. Great grandchildren Codey, Madison and Desiree. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all her extended family near and far.
Jann will be interred at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary with a memorial to be announced.
