Emily Ratajkowski Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Wearing Emma Brewin Fluffy Bucket Hats

The first snow of the winter hit New York City over the weekend, prompting those in the vicinity to immediately document the picture-perfect white streets for the rest of the world to see. Of course, the city’s white backdrop also meant an influx of cute outfit pics were quickly taken and then posted to the ‘gram, with fashion-forward celebrities, such as Dua Lipa, using the opportunity to bust out their best winter looks. 

While Lipa’s snow day look consisted of Balenciaga from top-to-toe, including a Gucci x Balenciaga headscarf and toe boots, Emily Ratajkowski opted for a more accessible—but still very on-trend—fit made up of army cargo pants and the season’s most coveted fluffy bucket hat. 

In a gallery showing her enjoying the snow with her young son, Sly, the model and author is pictured snuggled up in camouflage printed cargos, a hooded red bomber jacket by Moose Knuckles and sneakers. Though Ratajkowski’s cargo pants were once a fashion faux pas, in recent years celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Rihanna have begun sporting the style again with the revival of Y2K. Ratajkowski taking the trend to the next level by wearing it in its OG cargo print only cemented the baggy trouser is here to stay for 2022.

On her head, Ratajkowski wore her favourite accessory: a fluffy bucket hat by British designer Emma Brewin, a trend also beloved by the aforementioned trio, Hadid, Lipa and Rihanna. Though she opted for baby pink (a colour also beloved by Rihanna) for this outing, Ratajkowski also owns the hat in black, brown and leopard print and has barely left the house without one of them atop her head since winter began. 

For her part, Lipa owns one of Brewin’s designs in leopard print as well as another baby blue and Hadid was recently spotted sporting hers on the streets of New York in hazel. In the comments of Ratajkowksi’s post, fellow mum Gigi Hadid invited her to “Come build a snowman w us tomorrow 🥺🥺💖”. Here’s hoping we get a look at the stylish pair’s snow day looks then (and at which Brewin hat the other Hadid sister owns—because of course she has one. Our guess is pistachio).
