We know we’ve been hinting at it for a while, but clogs are shaping up to be one of the “it” shoes of the year, and might just stick around in its popularity for the next. Although it’s been known to many as an “ugly” shoe, people’s priorities have shifted in the past year and comfort has outweighed aesthetics in many areas. We’re not sure if it’s just us—but the shoes aren’t looking so bad on the eyes to us anymore. If anything, they’re looking incredibly cool. While we flaunt painful high-heels on the regular, it’s a breath of fresh air to see a clunky, comfortable, and durable shoe on the feet of fashion folk.
It seems like it’s come around in high-fashion too, as designers like Gucci, Chanel, and Bottega Veneta have all released their own version of clogs. Some of our editors have already hopped on the train, so it’s not too late to get yourself aboard as well. While clogs are commonly referred to as shoes with a wooden sole, we’ve rallied up our favorites of all the versions, from sandals to modern rubber styles.
