1. Wild camping and walking on Knoydart
Nowhere in Britain feels as thrillingly remote as the Knoydart peninsula in the Highlands, making this three-day guided walk a proper adventure. Starting in Glenfinnan, you’ll take in wild glens in the Rough Bounds of Knoydart. You’ll be wild camping the first couple of nights, with the third in the Knoydart bunkhouse — followed by a celebratory pint at the Old Forge, Britain’s remotest pub, and a return ferry home. The walking is hard and there are no facilities — but the rewards are great. You might even spot golden eagles.
